Overview

What GEO Lens does

GEO Lens is a Chrome extension developed by Market Analyticx that scores the webpage you're currently viewing from 0–100 for AI-search readiness. When you click the GEO Lens toolbar icon, the extension reads the content of that page — headings, JSON-LD structured data, paragraph text, meta tags, and visible dates — and analyzes it against seven weighted checks to produce a score and a list of suggested fixes.

Data access

What data is accessed

Website content When you open the side panel on a page, GEO Lens reads that page's DOM — text, headings, links, structured data, and meta tags — to calculate your score. This happens only for the tab you're actively viewing, and only when you invoke the extension.
Extension settings Your check on/off toggles and weight preferences are saved using the browser's local storage, scoped to the extension itself.

Data retention

Page content read during a scan exists only in memory for the duration of that scan and is discarded when the side panel closes or you re-scan. Only your settings (check toggles and weights) persist, stored locally in your browser via localStorage, and are removed if you uninstall the extension or clear site data for it.

Permissions

Why GEO Lens asks for what it asks for

activeTab Grants temporary access to the tab you click the toolbar icon on, so GEO Lens knows which page to read.
scripting Lets GEO Lens inject a read-only script into that tab to collect the page signals used for scoring.
sidePanel Displays the score and results in Chrome's side panel.
Updates

Changes to this policy

If GEO Lens's data practices change, this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date above will reflect the change.
