LLM crawlability

Definition

Can the bots that feed AI models (GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, and friends) actually read your page? That's crawlability, and it's governed by robots.txt, response codes, and whether your content needs JavaScript to show up.

Here’s the trap: a lot of these bots don’t run JavaScript the way Googlebot does. So if your content only appears after a client-side render, a human sees a perfectly normal page and the bot sees an empty shell. Crawlability doesn’t get you cited. It just makes citation possible at all. You can nail every other GEO signal on a page and still get shut out entirely if the right bot is blocked in robots.txt or can’t parse what’s there.
